Yes! Monday is over and Tuesday is finally here!
...Wait, aren't we all excited about this?
Listen, get your shit together Sherlock! It's Tuesday - there's no time to read this blog! Great feats await!... And you know what they say about those with big feats, right? Big d' ...termination!
And you have that man! You have the big D! The world is yours, or at least the office is or your cubicle is or at least your side of the desk is or the bathroom where you sit is! Anyways - the point is you can have that - you can take life by its horns and ride it into submission! (phrasing)
This is the day you do that thing you always dreamt of, it's the day you make a change and steer clear of the shitty obstacles you have previously shown such respect for, this is the day that you unleash your figurative sword and slash through anything and all in your way until you reach that goal which you are striving for! There is no need to hold back for anything or anyone! So in the great words of Nike and Shia Lebouf "JUST DO IT! JUST DO IT! JUST. DO. IT."
Do you know why? Because it is Tuesday dammit! The day of heroic battles and single-handed victories. Your victories! Or... If you don't act befitting to Tuesday and slack - it will be somebody else's victory! Hurray for him/her! Or not. Doesn't have to be. It could be your day.
Think this is just some rant of a genius? Your partially right - this is a rant. BUT - there is a reason Tuesday is your day of battle. Here is why:
The derivation of Tuesday goes back to Latin for the planet Mars. But more important than a ball of dirt out there - Tuesday has its origins in the Nordic god Tyr, the god of war! (In English he is know as Tiw) Hence today it is TIW'S DAY, aka the day of the god of war and thereby and there with this is the day dedicated to going to war on your problems, your challenges, your fears and your work-load.
But how you ask?
Well, according to whoever, Tyr would take sacrifices of beer, blood and meat. So if you have some ham you can spare from your ham-sandwich - set it on fire and know that you have made Tyr happy. I am presuming you don't have any beer at work and let's just skip the whole blood thing - a bit to dramatic. Also what warriors of the north did back in the day was that they would carve Tyr's rune into their weapons and so be granted extra strength and favorable outcome in battle. So why don't you take a minute out of your precious time and carve it into the side of your pencil or draw it onto a sticky-note or something. It's simple - the rune is basically just an arrow pointing upwards.
So get your shit and guts together, make Tyr happy and go all out today!
You are a warrior!
Act becoming of one.
