Happiness is invaluable, or at least that's what the man in the store said. It cost me a total of the equivalent of 35$ and guess what? When I got home, I found the damn expiration date on the happiness was long expired. He sold me a bad batch of happiness! Theiveing scoundrel, he was keeping it all to himself! I'll have to find a new grocery to go to.
Anyways - would be nice if happiness came in a the form of bottled perfume. Wake up, take a whiff of it onto your neck and ta-daaaa: Happiness!
But no, happiness can never be put into a box, bottle, perfume or pill. It is something that is awarded the living and achieved through action and accomplishment.
Seems happiness is something in dire need on Mondays - really, wonder statistically how many people hate mondays.. Yup, just checked it. Monday is officially the worst - at least so Google says. Apparently 2 out of 3 people surveyed hate the damn day.
Happiness, motivation - whatever. That's good. Give me more. I mean honestly, who wouldn't want to be happier, more motivated, I mean, is there even a limit?
A sad person wants to be happy, a happy person wants to be happier, a happier person wants to be happiest and the the happiest want to be happiestest... etc.
If you are like me, then you are definetly a happiness-junkie. That shit is addictive! Not to mention infectious.
There is a vast array of books on motivation and happiness, all very good in their ways. Everything from Bear Grylls to Dalai Lama himself, all very useful. Speaking of Mr. Grylls - I read his book Blood, Sweat and Tears recently and would definetly recommend it - it's a good mix of everything. Simply good.
Then there is also a book which is one of my favorites The Way to Happiness by L.Ron Hubbard, which is one of the most simple and awesome books on happiness and life itself. Definetly a good motivation in getting going in life and having just what the title says: Happiness.
One of the special things with the above mentioned book is that it even has a video made for each chapter of the book - beautifully made and inspiring.
The Way to Happiness. The book itself is online as well as some of the videos - do yourself a favor and take a look or read at the above link.
I am a huge fan of books, music and movies that motivates, envigorates, inspires and gets one all pumped up. Since in the end the truth is that YOU need to create your own happiness. Learning how and being kicked into action helps.
Speaking of just inspiration, I enjoyed watching Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Refreshing and inspiring.
I'ma end this post with a mellow track from just that motion picture.
